In this policy this business is called "Fencetimator", "we" or "us". This policy explains how we use personal data of people in the United Kingdom under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers:
- the website fencetimator.com, including the UK pages at fencetimator.com/uk,
- the app at app.fencetimator.com, including the mobile view for teams,
- your emails to us and the page where you book a demo.
3. Our role
- For the data of website visitors, contacts, user accounts and billing, Fencetimator is the controller.
- For the data a customer company enters into the app about its own customers, staff and jobs, the customer company is the controller and Fencetimator is its processor. That processing is governed by the data processing agreement we sign with the customer company, as Article 28 of the UK GDPR requires.
4. The data we use
4.1 Website visitors
- Technical access data: IP address, browser type, time of access and the page requested.
- The website uses no cookies, analytics, advertising or third-party scripts.
4.2 Contacts and demo bookings
- Name, company name, email address, phone number if you give it, the content of your message and the time of the demo.
4.3 User accounts in the app
- Name, email address, role in the company, sign-in and session data (IP address, device, browser, time of sign-in) and the record of changes made in the app.
4.4 Data a customer company enters into the app
- Data about its customers: name or company name, address, phone number, email address, and company and VAT numbers of businesses.
- Business data: quotes, deposit invoices, payments, jobs, projects, notes, comments, documents and photos from site.
- Site locations and fence drawings on the map.
4.5 Error data
- Technical records of errors in the app: time, page, browser and an internal user identifier.
4.6 Billing data
- The customer company's name, address, company and VAT numbers, contact person and payment records.
5. Why we use the data, and our lawful basis

- We make no automated decisions about people and do no profiling.
- We do not use customer data to train artificial intelligence models.
- We do not sell personal data.
- We send no marketing emails without prior consent, as the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) require.
6. Artificial intelligence
- Answers to questions about the business are calculated from the customer company's data, with the sources and the method of calculation shown.
- For features such as importing a price list from an Excel or PDF file we use the Claude API of Anthropic. Anthropic does not use that data to train its models and deletes it within 30 days.
- A customer company can connect its own AI assistant to Fencetimator. The assistant reaches only that company's data, only within the rights of the user who connected it, and only to read. Every access is recorded. Processing by the provider of that assistant is governed by the contract between the customer company and that provider.
7. Our processors

We give data to public authorities only when the law requires it.
8. International transfers
- We are based in Serbia. Personal data you send us goes to Serbia and to the countries where our processors work.
- Data held in the European Economic Area is covered by the UK's adequacy regulations for the EEA.
- For transfers that the UK GDPR treats as restricted, including to Serbia and the USA, we use:
- the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for providers certified under it, or
